Meet the Author

Henry Handel Richardson was the pen name of Ethel Florence Lindesay Richardson, born in Melbourne in 1870. Taken to Europe in 1888, she spent many years in Germany, and then living in England from 1903 until her death in 1945. She was also the author of The Getting of Wisdom and a trilogy, The Fortunes of Richard Mahony.
