Max Bonker, dog detective and world traveler us deep into the Amazon Rainforest in search of his archenemy, Rathbone. During his travels he encounters many rainforest animal friends like a treefrog, a red-billed toucan, and an orchid bee. Each friend has a different mystery. He discovers that all the mysteries revolve around one: the disappearance of a rare orchid. No doubt Rathbone is behind it all! As Bonker searches for a way to set things straight, he and his readers will discover many exciting and real facts about the brilliant world along the Amazon River. Exciting and colorful pictures will have children looking for hidden animals and searching for facts about these mysterious creatures as well. The story ends with a list of animals from the story and facts about each.
