    Insightful and Inspiring

    The first thing to note is that there is a good degree of Christian theme in this book. I have not read John's other publishings, but I'd imagine they'd be along the same premise. I'm a proud God-fearing Catholic, but not as practicing as I should be. I purchased this book looking for good advice and teachings on leadership and positive attitudes...this book delivered good insight and great stories to inspire! 2 of my favorite sayings now are "No one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care" and "I ain't never lived this day before" (meaning to stay positive, be thankfull, and make it count!).

    Very little new here for those interested in this type of book

    I was encouraged to read this for a sales job I had for an insurance company. The head guy was really hot on John C Maxwell. The sole point I got from this was do not attempt the closing of a sale until its a win-win for both and the prospect knows its a win-win for both. I'm sure as far as sales-training literature and personal-development books go, this isn't a new concept. Maxwell is a holy roller and does not hide that in his writing. Despite being a church-going Christian myself, I found this aspect of the book 'noisy'. If this is your first book in this type of genre - yeah, it's ok, but I wouldn't stop here.
