Too much back and forth and too much drama! Drove me insane. Had this been a free book I would have trashed it, but considering I actually paid for it, I finished it.

3.5 Stars - I’ll admit I’m a huge fan of stories where our leading lady falls for her brother’s best friend. I loved Xander and Summer’s relationship, even when it wasn’t the easiest thing in the world. They grew up in completely different worlds and it made their sibling relationship more complex and intriguing. From what I could gather, Xander and his friends are members of his father’s MC. My biggest problem with this story was that we hardly see any of the MC life. There is mention of questionable dealings and the obvious hierarchy but for the most part we are left in the dark about the world Summer has just become a part of and it makes it difficult to really connect with and understand what her character is going through. Reid had all the potential of a damaged alpha/MC man. There were moments throughout this story where I really fell hard for him. More often than not I wanted to slap him across the face. This isn’t always a bad thing but without the context of what was happening with the MC, his actions were more difficult to accept and understand. I loved the dialogue and the back-and-forth between characters. Summer, Xander, Reid and Ryan always seemed to have something snarky and hilarious to say to each other. Their interactions were probably the best part of this book for me.  All in all I enjoyed Maybe This Time. It was a fairly quick and interesting read. If you’re looking for the typical filthy, hot MC read, however, this isn’t that book. The main outline of the book and the characters have a ton of potential and I liked them enough to keep reading, but the details of the storyline need a little elaboration in my opinion. I will still read the next book in this series, because I need to know more about these characters and I’m hoping that the story will develop a little bit more in the next novel.

Skip it if you like your heroines with any kind of spine or dignity.  Really??? Surrounded by hot, caring, protective guys and she let's "her man" belittle her, hurt her, cheat on her, run away from her, berate her for not being forgiving??? I was actually disappointed she took him back.  Way to much bad drama for my liking, get a backbone.  Supposedly beautiful girl with lots of hot guys wanting, protecting, befriending her and she puts up with Reid.  Come on, at least make him a little more sorry.  Yuck.  Read Jenika Snow if you want cage fighter books. Skip this.

I actually like it, some of the reviews had me thinking if I like it or not, but it was a good book (for me it was)

Okay read. Not sure if I quite liked it. The back and forth with the love and hate and seemingly quick forgiveness everytime something went wrong didn't set well with me.

The premise had promise, but fell so far short of hitting the mark for me. Summer goes to live with her brother, Xander. She meets him on the first page of the book for the first time. How that's possible isn't brought to light right away. She has legitimate issues with her dad, and that is quite obvious to the reader. What those issues actually are are somewhat of a mystery. While the characters (both primary and secondary) resolved many issues throughout the story, I have no idea what some of them were or how they were resolved. People were mad/hurt/upset and then in the next couple sentences everything was fine and people were happy again. While I understand that not every detail can be spelled out for the reader, seeing the actual conflict resolution goes a very long way in the character development arena. The only character I had strong feelings towards was a secondary character. He was the only one that seemed genuine and relatable. For my tastes, there was too much fluff and not enough substance which resulted in me being a bit bored. Had this story not been in the middle of an anthology, I probably would not have finished it.

Good read. The ending seemed a bit rushed but was a good read anyway. Wished he had to work just a little harder for her to take him back

Quick, rushed story. The romance between Summer and Reid doesn't make sense in light of the fact that he's a complete a**hole towards her from the moment she meets him. In fact, he spends the majority of the book belittling and berating her, which sounds like verbal abuse to me, not romance.

Just want to say. Why do people write a book when doing reviews? I dont read long reviews just saying ,short and sweet is better.
