This book is HORRIBLE! These are medical doctors speaking on things they have no idea on....Let me ask you...does MAYO have an Alternative Medicine clinic? I don't think so, so why are they writing a book and guiding you away from things that will not hurt you but will in fact help you? For instance their take on Chiropractic is false and misleading. The studies they present you with are old and out dated. I am very disappointed that this book has been published, it is an embarrassment to the Mayo name.

This book is well written, easy to understand, and a good "beginning" for those truly interested in alternative ways to stay healthy. Good, sound basic advice and information. As a retired healthcare worker (RN) I would be interested to see a follow up publication that was more inclusive and in greater detail. I think that once people understand what their own specific health challenges are, they can then take responsibility for them and are likely to seek good, solid, thorough information that will help them to live better and be as healthy as they can. Great little book. Now let's see the motherboard of Alternative Medicine. MEGWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
