Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
Can you help Rob and Kelly rescue a broom from the evil vampire and give it to the good witch? This is a book that combines a simple story line with solving a puzzle by asking children to complete spooky mazes in order to help Rob and Kelly rescue a broom for a good witch that they meet at the first of the book. Each page has at least one new puzzle; some pages have three and four. Children can spend hours completing the mazes and puzzles. The mazes will take them underground through secret passages, into Frankenstein's laboratory, into a cave of bats, into a room with a skeleton rock band named "The Bones," and even into a tunnel with a maze of pipes. All that is required to complete the puzzles is a little bit of imagination and a pencil. This clever book is designed to teach children to think through puzzles and mazes. It will be especially enjoyed during the Halloween season. 2003, Sterling Publishing Co, Ages 6 to 10.
