I am an acutal student using this textbok, my specific cirrucuium is the best in the state and second in the country! this book is perfect for advanced algebra studnts, sence they are excepinal at math and with teacher instruction will goi far. the book gives many examples, as well as give worked out solutions on the homework questions most kids have trouble with! overall i would give this book a solid 4 stars out of the possible 5!

    So poorly done...

I was an actual student using this textbook, the Geometry version, and Algebra 2 versions of this book, and I am not impressed with these for two reasons.

The first reason that a lot of people will probably agree with, is that the book doesn't explain enough about the lessons needed to be learned. Seriously, it gives 5 or 6 examples, but a lot of the time, they actually don't help a lot of people at all. It doesn't explain every type of problem you will see in that lesson, it just ASSUMES you get the idea, but truly, you don't. It's not specific enough at all, it's just too "narrow" you could say, which is making many kids fail in Math classes.

And second, many students' math grades probably aren't accurate with those Selected Answers in the back of the book. I mean, yes they are there to check your work and help you, but many kids keep copying them down without showing the work to it, and it makes them cheat, technically. I'm not saying it shouldn't be there, but they do need to improve that section a bit more.

Many people may not agree with me on this, but you can see for yourself that this book isn't explanatory enough and needs to be better written. I think the company needs to redo this book and make a better version by far.
