Compared to the usual workbooks that are mere lists of problems, this series meets parents trying to help their kid learn math concepts. There are times when I know how to solve a math problem, but I don't know how to explain it to my child. For each lesson in this book, there is a part that explains exactly what to do and how to solve the problem. Extra helpful is the planner in the beginning that breaks the book down into ten weeks of summer learning for those who want to use the book that way. Outside of summer, this book still creates a great daily practice for everything my kid will need to know this school year. I like it and recommend it.

    Useful not needed

Books like this aare useful if you use them at the right time, say you are in 5th grade going to sixth you would gat a head start. And if you are begining seventh grade and feel you need a refresher, than this book would be perfect. But if you are in a grade that is four and below, not a goid idea you wont understand.
