Good book for the average student

The English and math sections of this book are its strengths, providing upcoming test takers with practice questions that are similar in difficulty level to what they'll see on the actual ACT. The reading and science passages are good for below to average readers, so they're great for those who need work on basic test review and strategy at a level that won't frustrate them. However, students will see more difficult reading and science passages on the ACT come test day.

    Sadly Disappointed

I bought myself the 2012 McGraw-Hill's ACT Test Guide from amazon back in early February. I studied that book non-stop 3-4 weeks before the test, being that it was my first time taking the ACT, and went into the test and got a 27.

I saw this 2013 edition and thought, if i got a 27 with the 2011, a 29-30 is easy with a few more weeks of studying!

Sadly, as my schedule became tight, and i finally am ready to study and prepare non-stop, I take my first test to only find out that EVERY SINGLE TEST IS THE SAME FROM THE 2011 EDITION.

I am sadened by McGraw Hill, and disappointed in Barnes & Noble for selling this P.O.S.

DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU HAVE THE 2012 EDITION.

If you do not have the 2012 edition then, BUY BUY BUY. This book was easy to understand, very helpful and useful tests, and answers are clearly given out in the back.

4/5 For a first time user

0/5 If you own the 2012 Edition.
