    I Also Recommend:

Excellent review to strengthen and review math skills and test taking strategies.

This rather short SAT Math prep book is wonderful as a general review of math and as a way to acquire some great test-taking strategies. It is well-organized and provides enough content to be helpful, but not that much to be overwhelming for a student who has done reasonably well in math. It won't make up for a complete absence of any math learning during the high school years, but it will help fill quite a few gaps. Keep in mind that this is not an elementary high school math text; it is intended to help pull everything together for a student who has taken (and retained some) math during the high school years. If you find this book overwhelming, you might try the Math Smart book recommended below; it begins at an easier level than Top 50 Skills.
