Passed the test reading only half the book

Just like any good slacker I scheduled my test, but didn't make it through the whole book. I just grabbed the practice questions on the CD for the last few hours I had to study and crammed. This book is packed with the writers views on crap, which luckily are well labeled and easy to skip. For brevity sake I would skip his endless rambling about his grandmothers computer if I were you. As far as certification goes, the books is comprehensive, although filled with fluff and needs to be much more concise. For the exam, don't focus on features that were included in Windows XP. It is almost exclusively covering only new features such as Windows Meeting Space, ReadyBoost, Installation procedures, RSS feeds, Windows Firewall, and UAC.

    Do not waste you money!!!!

Horrible book that will not be of any help passing 70-680 exam. Majority of the questions presented on the exam were regarding things this book never touched upon. This book would do well to hold open a door or window but is no other value.

Helped me pass the Windows 7 exam!

I got this book to help me pass the Windows 7 exam. After reading the book and doing all the exercises and practice test questions I got above 900 when I took the test. This is the first time I have taken a Microsoft exam since Windows XP so I am pretty happy with the result.
