This is a good book to read and work through if you're planning on taking the MCTS exam. It manages to cover almost every feature that MS may cover on the exam. However, if you just want to learn MS SQL Server or have no DB experience, skip this book. It glosses over composing Transact-SQL statements and has nothing at all about database design or query optimization. You will absolutely need those skills before you ever should be worrying about high availability databases and other advanced features. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
