You are holding a unique question and answer book that will help you tell the very personal story of you and God. We take the title from the well-known passage in the Old Testament in which God tells Moses his name: “‘I AM WHO I AM. This is what you are to say to the Israelites: ‘I AM has sent me to you’” (Exodus 3:14).

You can use Me, Myself, & I AM in many ways: as a map to explore your faith, as a lens to focus on your relationship with Jesus, as a fun way to let others get to know you, or as a starting point for important conversations with family and friends. What you record becomes a spiritual time capsule you can revisit months or years from now to see how you used to think and feel, who you used to be.

Be sure to answer questions not with what you feel you should say but with what you really (like it or not) think. After all, you’re writing down the story of your life. You’ll find that some questions are fun, some are serious, and some that appear to be light turn out to be the most thought provoking of all. Answer as many questions as you can, but if a question doesn’t feel right for you, skip it and move on. If you run out of space for an answer,
you might want to use the blank pages in the back of the book to continue writing.

So relax, take your time, and enjoy the experience of getting to know yourself and God in new and deeper ways.
—Matthew Peters and Elisa Stanford

    A legacy for my children¿

The Story of You & God
Matthew Peters, Elisa Stanford
Multnomah, 2008
ISBN: 9781601421425
Reviewed by Debra Gaynor for ReviewYourBook.com
5 stars
A legacy for my children¿
Me Myself & I Am is a tiny book with a big potential. Matthew Peters and Elisa Stanford have created a way to get to know you through answering questions. They have provided the questions. In essence, you become the author.
Most of the questions are easy to answer. However, they also cause you to think about your true relationship with Jesus Christ. The questions cover memories of your childhood, teen years, and even funeral arrangements. I am so taken with Me Myself & I Am that intend to purchase a second copy for my husband. We want to leave this information for our children and grandchildren. This book is just the right size. Anything larger would take up too much time. Anything smaller could not cover the right questions.

Great journal for taking a good look at your spirituality

    Perfect for : Personal growth/thoughtfulness

In a nutshell: I found reading this journal/workbook to be a very thought-provoking experience. The authors have presented many thoughts or questions to help the reader take a closer look at themselves and their spirituality/faith. There are some very fun pages . . . . The Friend Most Likely . . . To think the Hokey Pokey IS what it's all about: ______ (pg. 56) . . . . . and some very serious thoughts . . . Oops! One thing I do that I only recently realized is not right: ______ (pg. 64). I took this opportunity to learn about myself, and let me say that at times I had a hard time being honest with myself. In all, I really love this book. It has easily (it was really easy to work in this book!) helped me to smile, and has shown me some areas that I'd like to improve in my life. I recommend this book for personal growth, and a good gift for friends who are spiritual or are exploring their spiritual beliefs. Please take a moment and scroll through the first chapter below - it will give you a good idea of how the book is written.

My Review:
In this instance, I'm going to keep it short and simple. The book is very good, well, it is as good as you allow it to be. If you agree to be honest with yourself, you will get a lot out of this book, both in quality memories, and areas for improvement.

Characters: You! This book is really about looking at yourself spiritually.

Story-Line: N/A

Readability: Very easy to read. Also very easy to move around without worries. If you want to simply open it up to a random page, go ahead! Is there a particular section you want to start with - go for it!

Overall: A wonderful book/journal that helps the reader take a closer look at themselves spiritually. I was able to feel good about some areas of my spirituality and see some areas I need to work on. :) This was a very enjoyable book! Give it a try - you might be amazed at what you learn about yourself.
