The story is very compelling for a Shakespeare student such as myself. It certainly isn't my favorite from the Bard, however, it is still a classic! I am taking a "Measure for Measure" English elective for my Senior year (high school), so it was not something I purchased just by my own curiosity. The "Duke of dark corners" will either have you cheering for him in the end, or sitting in disgust for the strange chaos/resolution he creates. Pompey Bum, Mistress Overdone, and Lucio never cease to please with their bawdy humor. Angelo will displease for his hipocricy and badly timed lusting. Isabella's clever innocence compared to brother Claudio's mistakes and wise words make for an interesting pair of siblings. Shakespeare has much to offer - go for it!
