Mechanical Harry and the Flying Bicycle

Mechanical Harry and the Flying Bicycle

by Bob Kerr (Illustrator)

Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Dianne Ochiltree
Harry's a mechanical genius. When his grandmother calls to ask him to chop wood for her, he hops onto his helium-balloon-powered, flying bicycle and heads out. Unfortunately, a bit of bad weather pops his balloon and he is stranded on a deserted island. Fortunately, his mechanical know-how eventually saves the day. Told in comic book format, kids will enjoy the humorously complex (yet scientifically correct) machinery that Harry invents, Rube Goldberg-style. And, they'll learn about 'simple machines' without realizing it!
