Very informative and thorough walk-through of medical billing.

Having run physician practices for 10 years and knowing about billing issues at every level from a manager's standpoint, I wanted to get certified in medical billing. I chose this book to review before the exam. I was very pleased. The concepts and material were thorough and organized and walked me through the entire process without leaving anything out. The case studies were also very useful and challenging. I would say that the 101 is a bit misleading. It is an excellent introductory course, as the author intended it to be. However, even with several years under my belt, I learned many, many, many new things. The author has a firm grasp on the subject matter, and moreover, walks the reader through quite painlessly. I highly recommend this course. And the exam? I had no trouble passing it, and I owe a very large part of it to this textbook. This will stay in my office library, for sure.

Excellent text for the beginning medical biller

This is an excellent teaching reference for those with no medical billing experience who are looking to get started as a home-based medical biller.

I did not realize that it was more of a workbook. I do not recomended unless you are taking a course in medical billing. I have not used the enclosed CD yet but really don't think it is going to be much of a assistance. It would help if there was a answer key in the back of the book to help see if answers are correct since I am not taking a course in this yet.
