The book and the cd is a great study aid especially the cd.For people who has a cp the cd gives you excellence study execises,at home or at the library.I give my apprication to the arthors. But some of the crossword puzzle execise questions may not be from the book but that's okay because it will enhance my knowledge also.It is a great book.Keep up the excellent work.Renee Jackson, a health professional.
I am a high school student, part of my schools Medical Academy, this is the book thst was used for the Medical Terminolgy course, and it did a good job at explaining all systems in an understandable way. I would definetly reccoment this book
I bought this book because of its layout. It has a great vocabulary list at the beginning of each chapter as well as clear diagrams and explanations. It has great learning exercises at the end of each chapter to test yourself. However, it does not contain the answer key to these learning exercises. It comes with a CD which really helps to reinforce learning, but I will say both the book and the CD contain numerous errors, so you really need to 'know your stuff' so you will recognize them. (For example, in a diagram of a fracture of the diaphysis of a bone, it is incorrectly labeled as the epiphysis; and in the CD it relates Colle's fracture to osteoporosis when it is actually the breaking of the wrist when trying to break one's fall.) I would still recommend this book to others, as it is a great book, but I do hope the publishers correct the errors before the next publication.
