Excellent book, a must have for any transcriptionist!

The Medical Transcriptionist's Desk Reference is by far the best reference guide that I have found. I have found it to be very easy to use and accurate. The book gives the most up-to-date information on style and formating in the field of medical transcription. The book is a great base for 'newbies' as well as the seasoned transcriptionist as well. I have found that I use this book as my first source to look up information. Matter of fact, I keep it right beside my keyboard for quick reference. The book covers each body system and commonly used terms pertaining to each system. Other features that I especially like are that the book details commonly used physical examination terms as well as commonly used terms that pertain to diseases and conditions. I also like the fact that the book offers information on laboratory, radiology, commonly used drugs, etc. I feel that the book is almost equivalent to having multiple reference books. I would highly recommend this book to anyone in the field of medical transcription.
