Great book with one caution. GIVE PART OF STORY AWAY! DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT A BIT OF A SPOILER!

This is another great book from the American Girl series of stories, characters, and books. The only caution I would give to parents, hate to be a spoiler so don't read if you don't want a bit of a plot spoiler but, there is a character who dies. I wasn't prepared for this myself but it provided a good opportunity to speak with my 6 year old daughter about life and death. I really didn't expect it myself and thought I would let other parents know to be prepared and consider that as a possibility.

    Meet kirsten/ American Girl

Very accurate to the period, fantastic art and illustrations. Educational of histry of living in the days past and present. We just loved getting to know Kirsten, We are very SAD that is not available, when we ordered her. My little girl was and still is very disappointed and sad. We have 11 darling american girls dolls, sadly Kirsten is not one of our American Girl family!!!!

    Moving?

Meet Kirsten, a book in the American Girl Series, was a sad but exciting book. This book was very interesting because it was full of happy adventures. Kirsten got lost, found out that she and her friend were on the same train, and met her cousins at a farm. I think anybody would like to find out the ending of this book. This book will appeal to anybody who is struggling with moving and trying to make some new friends. Look for this book at a nearby library or bookstore.

    Meet Kirsten A Great Read

The book I am reviewing is Meet Kirsten by Janet Show. I think this book deserves five stars because it tells about her family, friends, and other people. This book is about a girl named Kirsten that is nine years old and going to America on a boat. A problem in the story is that she is on a boat and a storm is coming. I think this book is great and exciting. I¿d recommend this book and other books like Meet Samantha, and Happy Birthday Samantha. If you want to find out what happens read the book and find out.

    GREAT WHATEVER AGE!

I enjoyed sitting down reading all of the serires. This one is sadder than all of the books because some one very dear to Kirsten died. She had to face lots of challenges because she diddn't know english, and she missed Sweden. Plus apart from being a good book, you learn alot, expeshilly from the back. You may not even relize how much you know about immagrents!

GREAT BOOK IF YOUR 7,8, OR 9!!!!

When I was 9, I loved reading American Girl books. Kirsten was one of my favorites (all the girls seemed to be my favorite.) This story tells about a nine year old swedish girl named Kirsten. She lived with her mom, dad, and little sister and brother. She had to learn english and that wasn't easy for her. But you'll have to read it to find out what happens!!
