If you are looking for an inspirational, true-life hero to introduce your children to, Steve Jobs is definitely a good choice! Not many people have changed the way we think or do things as much as Steve Jobs. He changed how we listen to music. He changed how we use phones. He even changed the way we buy these things. He is the reason the iPod, iPhone, iPad, or even Pixar movies are around. He looked at things differently than other people. He changed the world because he saw things other people did not.
"Meet Steve Jobs" was written for children age 6 & Up. With many colorful illustrations, this biography focuses on the interesting life stories of Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs and how he showed us all how seemingly unreachable “dreams” can be accomplished if you are willing to keep working hard until you reach whatever goal you have set in front of you.

Steve Jobs is an inspiration for all age ranges, and for good reason. He gave the world innovations for the future, while staying true to himself and battling a range of personal issues at the same time. Children need to have great role models, and this book is a great way to introduce younger children to this American Icon. This book has a lot of illustrations that make reading fun, and also easy for little minds to understand. My first grader was happy to learn about the “guy who made his iPod” and now has a healthy respect for the vision behind the man.
This book was so adorable. I learned a lot about Steve Jobs that I didn't know before. The pictures added that extra touch of cuteness. It says for children 6 and up, but as someone not even close to that age, WOW. It takes the man that I read this book on and puts him in a whole new light.
I wanted an important person in the more recent history of our nation for my students to study and learn from his example. I really wasn't expecting much useful information in this book but I was definitely wrong. Little did I know how many inspirational life messages could be found in the life of Steve Jobs. His story can encourage a wide variety of my students in all sorts of ways whether they are popular in school or not, whether they get good grades or not, and even whether they have a great home or not. I can't wait to see how my students learn things relevant to their own unique lives that can be learned by studying the life of Steve Jobs.
