    Decent

Overall a good read. The story itself is good but feels as if the author was trying to do to much and add too many elements, leaving some not as developed as they should have been. The main characters flow smoothly and are well written, as is the overall story, but the side characters feel kind of thrown in and because of this, the ending feels rushed.

    Megalodons

Cleary they're real. A species of sharks that may or may not have went extinct. Very intresting subject. I give five stars.

This is from the writer of Jaws?!

Given Paul Conley's history regarding books about sharks, maybe my expectations were too high because this book fell very short of the mark.
First, it moves very slowly. The characters are a bit familiar given his previous shark book.
Second, once the action does start up, it is identical to Jaws. The boat, the weird demanding Captain (in this case scientist), the floats, darts, boat torn apart. Very unimaginative.
Lastly, the book ends rather abruptly.
Overall, this seems like a throw away piece from an otherwise good writer, which is disappointing.
