I was a bit hesitant at first when someone had asked me to read a book about being Happy with my life. I mean were they trying to tell me something or what. NAH!!! I'm a happy person with a straight head on my shoulders yet reading the book "Megamorphosis" STILL had a positive affect on my daily life. I mean just think about it MEGA-Morphosis! Sometimes it takes a little positive encouragement to realize that being happy in life is not that hard but can have an affect on one's lifelong relationships, daily decisions and health. Through Michael's tales of lifelong lessons learned with his friends and family; To his nonprofit assistance of those in need since the time he was in college; To reading about a man that has turned his life around with problems that are not at all different than us all. I definitely recommend reading this book if not for the positive encouragement then at least for the stories of man who is living a happy and prosperous life and knows that everyone can achieve this state-of-mind.
It seems that eveyone is trying to make our lives more complicated. Even the "feel good gurus" present their advice in evermore complex verbosity. But Michael Yergin's talent is to present his advice, which is to simplify life by doing a few simple things, in appropriately simple terms. In addition, his easy going sense of humor, keeps you chuckling throughout the book. Impressive in it's condensation of extremely important content, it is a WOW book by a WOW author.
This is book is a must read for anyone who seeks to be happier now! It is a "feel good" book that does make you happier - it is an easy read and is entertaining yet extremely informative and insightful. Thank you Mr. Yergin for bringing this wonderful book to us and providing us great information that is easy to apply to everyday life and live a "happier life immediately"! The timing for this book is excellent with all that is happening in the world we live in. Debra D Phoenix, AZ
Through humor and laughter Michael disarms us with his charm and wit as he empowers us with his wisdom gleaned over the course of his life. In his new book, Megamorphosis, How to be Happier Right Now, by his own admission, he offers information that has been presented by others before, however, through his unique style and generosity of sharing candid stories from his own autobiography, Michael reveals what life's journey looks like when embraced authentically. By sharing his stories He allows us to see the struggles of living with and through the complexities of life, sharing his brother's struggle for balance as a backdrop against which some of his greatest lessons were learned. Michael prescribes being forgiving of ourselves, embracing new ways of thinking, employing laughter, positive solutions, and having faith in ourselves. His comedic timing and ability to laugh at irony and more importantly, himself, reveals the promise of change open to all of us in as he shows us how to live in a world of challenges expecting and receiving happiness right now.
This is a great book for people who hate self-help books. Funny, entertaining and a moving voice
