"For years, Mein Kampf stood as proof of the blindness and complacency of the world. In its pages Hitler announced--long before he came to power--a program of blood and terror in a self-revelation of such overwhelming frankness that few had the courage to believe it...That such a man could go so far toward realizing his ambitions--that is a phenomenon the world will ponder for centuries to come." -- Konrad Heiden, author of Der Fuhrer: Hitler's Rise to Power

Vitally interesting. . . . It is with sadness, tinged with fear for the world's future, that we read Hitler's hymn of hate against that race which has added so many names to the roll of the great in science, in medicine, in surgery, in music and the arts, in literature and all uplifting human endeavor. -- Books of the Century; New York Times review, October 1933
Anti-Defamation League
“Mein Kampf” was Hitler's blueprint for what later became his war for world domination and for the extermination of the Jews. Written eight years before he assumed power in Germany, the book lays it all out: his megalomania, his conspiratorial obsession with Jews and his lust for power. For all who claimed they didn't know, all they had to do was read “Mein Kampf” to know of Hitler's evil intentions.

For racists and anti-Semites the world over, “Mein Kampf” remains a holy book. For more information: Click here

Meet the Author

Adolf Hitler (20 April 1889 - 30 April 1945) was an Austrian-born German politician who was the leader of the Nazi Party (NSDAP), Chancellor of Germany from 1933 to 1945, and Führer ("leader") of Nazi Germany from 1934 to 1945. He was effectively dictator of Nazi Germany, and was at the centre of World War II in Europe and the Holocaust. Hitler was a decorated veteran of World War I. He joined the precursor of the NSDAP, the German Workers' Party, in 1919 and became leader of the NSDAP in 1921. In 1923, he attempted a coup in Munich to seize power. The failed coup resulted in Hitler's imprisonment, during which time he dictated his autobiography and political manifesto Mein Kampf ("My Struggle"). After his release in 1924, Hitler gained popular support by attacking the Treaty of Versailles

As disturbing and dark as the ideas in this book are, we should never be afraid to learn why Hitler thought he was right to what he did. Learning from the past is our only hope in preventing this type of thinking in the future.

I am 17 and I went and bought this book because my history teacher was talking to my class about it. I didn't think it would be so interesting just from the beginning itself. I am actually glad I got it even though some people give me some strange faces when I have it. 'To 'learn' history means to seek and find the forces which are the causes leading to those effects which we subsequently perceive as historical events.' - Hitler And with this book, we do just that. You figure out why Hitler did what he did and possible reason's behind it.

this book a thrill to read. full of insite in the background of Adolf Hitler and his family. and the rise of his power throughout the years of his miltary existence. he was a smart man, very artistic and knew alot about the world. this book has so much information that i never knew about and led me to think that he was crazy, but it was from the people he served from in war. his tatics where very futuristic and served good but the way his thoughts where on a race where very indiscribable. A age recommendation i would put would be over the age of 15. www.wwIIhitlersrise.com Clive Miller Timber Creek High School Class of 2010

I couldn't agree more with the previous review - you have to read this to understand history and make sure we don't repeat it. Don't ban books!

'Mein Kampf', by Hitler, shows his deep anger at the world. He always ends up accusing the Jews for Germany's fate. This propaganda started the war in which 50,000,000 people died. His past is revealed, and we can understand from 'Mein Kampf' that Hitler was a seriously disturbed individual. 'Mein Kampf' has very advanced writing techniques, even though I had read the translated version, I can tell you it's good (If you are interested in the subject).

This book was thrilling yet kind of scared me at the same time. If your into WW2 and/or interested in what Hitler was thinking its a very good book.

Although I may not agree with his conclusions. It has given me a deeper understanding of the man. Very interesting historic read, from his perspective.

Very informative and gives details of how Hitler became antisemetic. Also how he came into power from being a soldier in WWI. I could not put this book down and finished it in about a week and a half.
