Editorial Reviews
All Music Guide - Alvaro Neder
This is the CD reissue of the LP recorded in 1979, one year after Álibi, which had sold one million copies and inaugurated Maria Bethânia's popular phase, after her cult beginning in the Teatro Vila Velha Salvador BA continued in the political show Opinião. This album had her biggest hit with "Grito de Alerta," the first of many written by Gonzaguinha and interpreted by Bethânia. "Mel" Caetano Veloso/Wally Salomão also became successful, while Bethânia's usual wisdom in recording older composers is concretized in "Loucura" Lupicínio Rodrigues. Not a remarkable album, this is a good choice for fans of this expressive singer.
