Creative ideas and excellent resource list for a beginning

As a beginning soap maker with pets (and no kitchen door -- which means: no lye), I enjoyed this book a lot. It has very clear instructions and troubleshooting tips. It also has a great resource list of suppliers including internet addresses. One problem with the book is that several recipes call for very small amounts of very expensive ingredients, so a person new to the craft wouldn't necessarily try these. On the plus side, the book focuses a lot on technique and encourages the reader to create their own recipes. I found it very helpful and it inspired me to experiment with ingredients I prefer. Another plus: recipes are rated by difficultly. I recommend the book to anyone new to soapmaking unwilling to work with lye

This is the best soap book I had about using melt and mould glic

This is the best soap book I had about using melt and mould glicerine soaps. She has a talent for teaching. Even the most essential details are explained in a simple way. Very creative ideas to use form, incorporating additives(a guide of additives), color and fragance in a coherent beautiful way. It includes about 30 craft projects. Some of them are: jelly rolls, fruit soap bars, soap marbles, the use of a lot of embelisments, loaf soaps, gifts for children and adults, shadow box soaps, swirled soap, stress relieve bars, how to make soap frosting, packaging fundamentals, kitchen soap, natural fruit additives, soap tassels. This is the most complete soap book I own. And I have 4 more books.
