Rex had put Hannah's life in danger once before. Now he had to face her again, and this time, to protect her, he was staying close—very close. Working to expose a terrorist secret that could threaten global security, Rex was defenseless in the face of the powerful passion that still simmered between them. But was passion enough? Meet the Author

Loreth Anne White was born and raised in southern Africa, but now lives in Whistler, a ski resort in the moody British Columbia Coast Mountain range. It's a place of vast, and often dangerous, mountains, larger-than-life characters, epic adventure and romance—the perfect place to escape reality.

It's no wonder it was here she was inspired to abandon a sixteen-year career as a journalist, features writer and editor (under the name Loreth Beswetherick) to escape into a world of romance fiction filled with dangerous men and adventurous women.

When she's not writing you will find her long-distance running, biking or skiing on the trails, and generally trying to avoid the bears—albeit not very successfully. She calls this work, because it's when the best ideas come.

Visit her Web site, lorethannewhite.com, for current news or check out her blog at lorethannewhite.com/blog/ for a daily peek into the life of a romance writer...on the run.

What a wonderful debut from Loreth Anne White

I can't believe this is her first book. I was gripped right from the start and the story just kept gaining momentum. It was very hard to put down! The hero and heroine are destined to be together in spite of the odds... You can't help but care about Rex and Hannah ¿ they were torn apart by events of the past, now they are forced to work together to expose a terrorist secret that threatens the world. But in working together, they must face each other and confront their pasts. Hannah must tell Rex her secret... The romance is wonderful, the characters absolutely fascinating. The plot is compelling and smart and the book is rich with layers of meaning. I don't remember reading an author who could evoke such a captivating sense of place. Her writing style is so clear and sensual, it draws you in to the world of White River and you won't want to leave. I can't wait to read more of Loreth Anne White's books.
