Thank you Samir, for such an intriguing book! One of the best insider looks at what went on behind the scenes. In everything I have read on Marilyn this is one of my favorites. I never doubted the cover-up but after reading this book and all the details I am proud of the author for doing right by Marilyn. She was more intelligent than she was credited for and used by those she trusted. She was a strong woman who simply wanted love, who wanted to twinkle among the stars. Some may question the politics of the story and wonder, could this have really happened? The answer is a resounding yes. 12 years in law enforcement and I have seen first hand the politics and the abuse of power. It's not just LA. It's everywhere. It's a lot, but not all. There are still those of us who believe laws are laws. There will always be those who choose their professions because they truly want to help and likewise there will, sadly, also always be those who want to help THEMSELVES. I'd like to think that before I die, the truth will be proven and her cause of death will be changed but I won't hold my breath. The tragedy of Marilyn's death touched many lives, but touched our writer in a way you cannot imagine.... and he searched for truth regardless. Thank you for sharing your memoirs with the readers Samir. Your very last page was the most touching and may you always twinkle alongside Marilyn....Was this review helpful? I have read many, many books on Marilyn. This by far is the most fact fascinating one. If you believe his facts, this tragic tale does indeed point to a cover up. We will probably never know what truly happened the night Marilyn died. Makes for excellent reading. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
