Meet the Author

I had 30 years in the fire service as a firefighter/paramedic and as an instructor.
I have a Masters degree in Safety Engineering and a Bachelors degree in Emergency Services Management.
I started as a volunteer in New Jersey, moved to Florida and became a fulltime firefighter and went to E.M.T. school then Paramedic School. I became a Fire Instructor and then moved to Georgia as a paramedic and became a E.M.T. Instructor.
I started teaching part time for the National Fire Academy and taught in several staes. I then moved to New York and finished my career as the OSHA Coordinator for the Fire Department of New York.
