After working 30 years in the business of antiques and collectibles, i'm still dazzled by the prices paid for items many people consider junk - half a million dollars for a beat-up side table, six hundred thousand dollars for an old tobacco hockey card, one million dollars for a comic book.THIS BOOK TELLS MY STORY

Memoirs of an Antique/Junk Dealer – Book Review When I first started to read Memoirs, I wasn’t sure what to expect. I had no idea I’d be laughing my head off reading a book on antiques. And I was. This is a great book for those just starting in the antique business, and for the pros who just want to add a something fun and special to their collection. The book tells about the author’s experience in the business of antiques and collectibles for over thirty years. The good and the bad, are all detailed very well, and expressed in a fun way that makes the book a real page turner. It's packed with insightful features, interesting introductions and full-color, vibrant images. For someone like me, who knows nothing about antiques, I found myself enjoying this read immensely, and I just couldn’t put it don’t. They are some fabulous one-liners. In this book you’ll find good advice about what to look for when you’re out there going through equity sales or just garage sales. The author takes us on his journey from starting his business to his many funny and wonderful experiences as a collector. The book provides a smart, insightful and entertaining perspective on the field. I absolutely loved this book, and recommend it to anyone who enjoys reading about antiques and those who are looking for a good laugh. I know I did.
