This book touched me all the way to my soul!

Wow!!!!! I wish I could rate this book at a TEN because it deserves it! I never knew I could receive hope back into my life from a book of someone else's life experiences. It's amazing how Marlisha was able to take her hardships in her life and put them into a book to help reach others. I have been struggling with a lot of addictions and if no other thing happened her book gave me back HOPE and FAITH. I have had the opportunity to meet Marlisha in peron and she was the best person I have ever met in my life. Regardless what she has been through she has a spirit of GOLD! I recommend this book to anyone who has lost faith, hope, and determination because of events around them and in their lives. Addictions can ruin so much of people and their families and Marlisha is one strong woman! She has learned from her life and she has healed and moved on to raise five children. I look up to Marlisha and thank God for my reading her book and for God putting her in my path. I have regained strength that I thought I once lost. Always know you are loved and will always be blessed if you allow God into your life.

God, please do something, help me....

'I am only eight years old, God give me the strength to save my Mom....' 'All I can say is be happy with whatever you have and make it work...' 'I am only eight years old...' This book was outstanding and had me in tears through it all. I want to meet this wonderful lady Marlisha. We all could learn a lot about keeping it together during hard horrifying violent times.

    Profound eye opener

I could not put this book down, it was like watching a movie. The things that Marlisha went through, no human nor animal for that matter should have to endure. She told it as she remembered and it makes you wonder what other children of drug addicted parents are enduring. Heart breaking, yet you hang on to find out the outcome. Looking forward to her next book!

    Survival Mode

No words can express the flood of emotions I felt as I read every page of Marlisha's childhood. How can any one person never mind a child turn out to be such a wonderful caring and loving human being after the abuse she had to endure. What amazed me was the love that she held so close to her heart for her Mom no matter what she had to do to survive. I cant recommend this book to any one category of people, EVERY adult with children should read this book and then read it to their children to show them how wonderful their life is and how awful it could be! You are truly a survivor and give hope to anyone who thinks they will never make it! I look forward to your next book and wish you a fairy tale ending for you have paid your dues above and beyond and deserve true happiness.

    Fantastic book

I found this book to keep me on the edge and wanting to read more. It's a book that you can't put down for a minute because it is so gooood!!! You will definately find yourself feeling sorry for the author and the mother, but you will also see how the author has manage to survive and still become a productive citizen within society, with remarkable strength to carry on dispite the trauma she lived. What a remarkble woman with deep love and compassion still for others. If I was personally an addict and I read this book, it would definately make me want to stop for the sake of my children. It is very obvious that the author had to go deep within herself to pull out the trauma, relive it and write about it, and then share it with the world to help others with their addictions. This is definately a must read!!!!

An inspiring book- Truly a must read

This book takes you through the many ups and downs that Marlisha experienced while being raised by her mother, who suffered from addiction and the host of problems associated with it. As a young child, Marlisha often cared for herself and her mother. Throughout the many difficult times Marlisha's love and loyalty for her mother never wavers. This book will inspire you.

Sad this woman turned out to be a scam artist . Taking advantage of people in desperate situations promising  "spell work through witch craft to fix their lives" she still carries a lot of anger inside her and takes advantage of people through her fake "life coaching" business!! Beware of this woman!!!
