First off, I am not a professional music critic, so my opinions are just that. I liked the show when I saw it a few months ago in NYC. It was toe-tapping and, although the acting was a little over-the-top, I felt like the entire performance was outstanding. This CD is exactly what I was expecting after seeing the musical live. It does not disappoint. The entire CD is good, but I find a few songs to be outstanding: 1) Memphis Lives in Me 2) Steal Your Rock and Roll 3) Music of My Soul 4) Love Will Stand When All Else Fails I prefer the slower and more soulful sounds of these songs, but, again, they're all good. Just not all of them are great.
