Overview

The Supreme Court endorses terrorists’ rights, flag burning, and importing foreign law. Is that in the Constitution? You’re right: it’s not. But these days the Constitution is no restraint on our out-of-control Supreme Court. The Court imperiously strikes down laws and imposes new ones purely on its own arbitrary whims. Even though liberals like John Kerry are repeatedly defeated at the polls, the majority on the allegedly “conservative” Supreme Court reflects their views and wields absolute power. There’s a word for this: tyranny. In Men in Black, radio talk-show host and legal scholar Mark R. Levin dissects the judicial tyranny that is robbing us of our freedoms and stuffing the ballot box in favor of liberal policies. As Rush Limbaugh writes in his introduction, “ Men in Black is a tremendously important and compelling book.”

Mark Levin may be a 'far right winger' but I want to tell you his analysis of the actions of the Supreme Court are totally objective. Negative reviews of this book almost invariably revert to name-calling and hysteria because the liberal mind-set has been blown to smithereens between these covers. Quite simply, if the Constitution is a 'living document', or if the meaning our laws 'evolve', and their meaning is only what the judges say it is today, then we do not live under the rule of law but under the rule of judges. Could there be any clearer description of an invitation to tyranny? For we all accept the Supreme Court's decisions as if we ourselves had voted them into being. 'Conservative' and 'liberal' are inadequate to describe judges when assessing them for service on the nation's high courts. Rather, 'Originalist' and 'activist' make much more sense, as Levin notes. Levin's book, for conservatives, is an affirmation of the obvious. For liberals, it is a clarion call for the examination of their consciences, and soul-searching as to whether the advancement of their agenda is worth the breaking down of the greatest and freest country the world has ever known.

Mark Levin in his insightful book has laid bare the gradual erosion of our society from one where rule of law prevails to one where the rule of lawyers and judges prevails. Excellent, mind provoking book. I only wish more would read it.

This book provides a detailed look at the workings of the supreme court and how it effects our lives. If you care at all about our freedom, this book is a must read. Only those who care nothing for our Constitution could attempt to say this is a biased book. Being informed is the first step to stoping judicial activists from chiseling away our Constitutional freedoms one decision at a time.

Those that lack the mental capacity to understand interpretations of the Constitution that differ from theirs will write drivel regarding the arguments laid forth in this book. No serious legal scholar would dismiss these arguments as if they make no sense. Levin's arguments are well made, some are spot on, some are stretches, but a good book for anyone wishing to at least consider interpretations that differ from theirs.

Mr. Levin's book should be standard text for high school and college studies. If I may, I would suggest Dr. Robert L. LaFrankie's book One Nation Under God: A Blessing And A Curse (Bookman Publishing) for further evidence of the effects of U.S. Supreme Court decisions.

Levin's "Men in Black" is an educational God send and a must read for High School students and above.

Mr. Levin is indeed a scholar of the constitution and in documented fashion shows how 'Judicial legislation' and foreign citation is becoming the rule of law in the United States as a result of a runaway and out of control judiciary. Citing case after case he shows how laws which could never be enacted by an elected legislature are placed on the books by judges with no concern for or working knowledge of the Constitution. This book will make you think and will definitely disturb you.

'men in black' is a really wonderful book that i just could not put down. mark r. levin seems to echo the concerns of the voter in this best selling book and his amazing research to back up his facts and what he has found will amaze you.perhaps its time that we the people change the way we elect these judges. perhaps we should elect them every 2 years and by party and maybe they would listen and do a better job. this book needs to be read by every person who is a registered voter and thean you need to buy a copy for a friend. this book could make a real differenceTHIS BOOK IS A REAL EYE OPENER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another great book by the great Mark Levin! His constitutional knowledge is formidable! It provides a great insight on how the U.S. Supreme Court often lets ideology get in the way of Constitutional authority. I found it to be very informative.

Mark Levin once again shows he is one of the most strategic thinkers of our time. No holds barred in his critique on the obvious agenda of the Supreme Justices to make their relevance beyond anyone's doubt or question. One only needs to be a critical thinker, brave and courageous to open their minds to the facts presented, and daring enough to question the High Court's motives in their rulings.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Levin is able to really sense the problem at hand and he offers realistic solutions to the problem. Liberals and idiots will hate the book, but it's a must-have for good conservatives!

Mark Levin has written a well-researched and thoroughly engaging book on the power-grab of the liberal justices of the Supreme Court. Virtually all real conservatives (as well as many others) will find Levin's presentation fair, balanced, and bold. The book, which is not for the faint-hearted or girlie-guys, is first-rate. Get it and see for yourself.

I've been a fan of Mark's Radio show on WABC in NYC, and I found this book to be consistent with the show in many ways. I find the book one-sided, but that is to be expected... This is not a book about EVERYTHING the Supreme Court has done, it is about highlighting select cases that clearly demonstrate how one faulty judgement can cascade though decades of decisions. I agree with Mark (and Justice Scalia) that the Supreme Court is not to ESTABLISH law, it is to enforce laws (and the Constitution) as created by Legislative/Executive branches. Non-political judges should not set law, and Mark clearly shows numerous cases where the court imposed it's collective will on the country, without benefit of support in either existing law or the Constitution. I recently watched 'Judgement at Nuremburg', and I found it a timely examination of the role of the courts in relation to elected government. In the movie, Nazi judges are on trial for 'going along' with the Nazi government - ignoring all pretense of justice. Likewise, several of the Supreme Court Justices seem comfortable deciding cases on popular/personal opinion, absent support in our current laws/Constitution.

Be prepared to get angry. Mark tells the truth about the Supreme Justice system and how they want to make the rules to fit their agenda. Its unfortuante that some fellow readers feel this is just a scare tactic. It is scary only because it is the truth. We all must stand up and take action before we loose all of our rights as American citizens.

What a surprise to see a far-left nut comment on Mr. Levin's book as nutty. The pot trying to call the kettle black

Excellent book. Tells it the way it is. If you're a liberal, you must read this book. This is your cause and it's destroying America. If you don't like what this book says, then don't blame the book! Blame the liberal courts that continually shove their agenda down our throats.

Finally, someone has exposed the liberals for who they are. If you can't get your agenda voted in to law (as laws were meant to be enacted, Constitutionally), have a liberal judge just make a proclamation (that they mask as a 'ruling'). Talk about a dictatorship! Levin 'shines the light of truth' on these liberals and their methods - is it any wonder that the supposed 'conservatives' that have pontificated here hate this book? Never let a liberal fool you by saying 'I'm conservative, but...'; just read the 'but' part and they're instantly revealed as the liberals they actually are. Read this book (and Rush's forward) and be enlighted to this true danger to our Republic.

Mark Levin Has hit a home run out of the park. At last.... an unmasking of the 6 egomaniac socialist prima-donna's in black robes who lack the moral courage to abide by the constitution and the rule of law, but rather MAKE law according to their own socialistic agenda.
