Where do I begin, once again Brenda has made another masterpiece! I love reading Brenda’s books not only does she draw you into her characters and make you love them but she adds new people to each one of her books and you get to watch them grow and fight through their own struggles. Emma and Alac have been through so much no only by themselves but as a family. If I had to choose two words to best describe Mending Hearts it would be “closure” and “happiness”. Brenda has a great way of throwing curve balls at you halfway through the book, where you think the characters are never going to find peace in their lives, but don’t let that foul you, things always turn around in the end. Mending hearts will have you laughing, crying, and best of all smiling. I don’t want to give too much away so if you’re ready to read the perfect book to end an amazing trilogy Mending Hearts is it! Thank You Brenda for letting me be one of your Beta Readers it is always a pleasure!

I couldn't put this trilogy down until the end. Real characters with real situations and real flaws.

This is my favorite trilogy from this author. If you think you know what will happen in this book then let me tell you , no you don't . I find absolutely amazing how this story has so much love and compassion that now in days is hard to find or see. In this last awesome book we get to see different point of views and what becomes of many of the characters we encounter through out this trilogy and the previous one "A new beginning trilogy". The name "Mending Hearts" it's a true fit for this book. I absolutely love it and will recommend it

The author's writing style is a little different than what I'm accustomed to, very rushed and straight forward. The main characters could have been developed more, but in all honesty it was a good story and showed true to some very uncomfortable and sad situations. Worth reading. P.s. Be prepared to cry, sad and happy tears!

I was given a complimentary copy by author Brenda Kennedy for an honest review. This is book 3 of Freedom Trilogy series by the author. Molly makes a disastrous decision after another and now it almost almost cost  but she asks Emma for help. Emma and Alex prepare for their future and their wedding. Hopefully things will work out for them on all fronts. WOW this story is very well written with some great characters. The author wrote a clean and smooth flowing story line in this book. This is for any mature romance book lover out there. This story starts where book 2 ends so it is best to read the books in order.

A fitting and sweet ending Favorite Quotes: “I love coffee.  If politicians were to ever make it illegal, I would go to the bad part of town and ask, ‘Is anyone selling any Columbian?’” “…I don’t like salads.  My idea of something green that’s good to eat is lime Jell-O.” “Girl, you act like you have never gotten your freak on with Mr. Kung Fu before,” My Review: A sweet, gentle, and fitting end to a gentle yet bittersweet trilogy.  If only people were that insightful, forgiving, thoughtful, considerate, and kind in real life.  I was starting to think it wasn’t possible - but I have finally read a Brenda Kennedy book that did not end in a cliffhanger.  I have enjoyed her sweet characters and the story line, and found it humorous that she poked a bit of fun at herself by having her characters meet her at a book signing and even called herself the queen of cliffhangers.  I like people who don’t take themselves so seriously.

First I would like to say I really love all of Brenda Kennedy's books. But with that being said I felt as if this book was all over the place. I was really looking forward to this book to come out but was disappointed. Usually Brenda Kennedy writes from the prospect of the two main characters this book was wrote through many characters eyes. That in its self does not bother me but when she changed characters she wrote the same thing again. The book itself is a great read but because I felt like I was reading the same material twice back to back I could only give this book three stars.

I have become a big fan of Brenda Kennedy. Mending hearts was a great story that covered some big issues. I laughed and cried reading the last book of this trilogy. I would recommend this book (of course you need to read the other two books in the series first) to everyone who loves a happy ending. I can't wait for the authors next book to come out!!
