Christy Hayes is one of my favorite Romance writers. Her stories are very believable and her characters always seem like they could be your neighbors. (Don't we all romanticize about our neighbor's lives just a little?) What I love about Mending the Line is the story unfolds over time. The two main characters, Ty and Jill, are attracted to one another, but they don't rush into anything, but rather build up the anticipation for each other and the readers. You can feel the passion he has for her when he discusses his life altering decisions with his parents. The setting of this story is described so beautifully. I can see myself running along the mountain path with Jill while she trains, fly fishing with Ty or having a drink at the bar with both if them. I really liked the development of the other characters in the story and was very excited to read that there will be another book in the series! Not only is Mending the Line worth the read, I know you will be hooked on Christy Hayes when you are finished! Enjoy.
