The first 140 pages dragged and made me question the heroine's infatuation with the philanderer, game playing male character. Then, the last 100 pages, the suspense took off. I read these last 100 pages in a breath, and what a final ! Victoria Holt 's ending can rival Agatha Christie

This novel was written such beautifully by Victoria Holt. This book is my favorite book because it is not only interesting and I couldn't put it down, but the plot was intriuging. I would definately recommmend reading this book-you won't be sorry!
