This book tops all of Rebecca Foresters novels. It captivated me from the first page to the last. What strong characters, the plot and story line packed with emotions. The sensational court room drama. It all added up to a five star rating. The character that still lingers in my mind is that of Judge caufield, what a noble man. He made a mistake and paid for it with his life.
I felt that Lauren and Allan were whinners and spoiled and did not appreciate the love, loyality, trust, and adoration that Judge Caufield bestowed on them.

Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged. When Lauren Kingsley is assigned to prosecute a case before her mentor/benefactor Judge Wilson Caulfield, she unexpectedly tangles with legal and personal issues that not only put her life in danger but also expose previous wrong doings by people she loves and respects. Rebecca Forster is one of those marvelous authors who never tells you what a character is thinking or feeling - she makes you experience it. With The Mentor, she ingeniously takes the reader on a tour of the inner workings of the Federal District Court while exploring the complex drama inherent in mentor relationships.
