Overview

This picture book is a true story about a real rescued kitty, Merlin, who was raised with dogs and thought he WAS a dog.

He wasn't treated well in that home so he was rescued and adopted into his forever home where he now has Pudge, a kitty, for a brother and mentor.
Merlin believes things about himself because of how he was raised, and he didn't realize his full potential until he was inspired by Pudge to try to do more than he ever thought possible!

He discovers something great about himself in the end! He really IS a kitty!

About the Author

Heidi Schlatter is an animal lover and advocate who has determined her mission in life is to try to make a difference for animals. She's hoping that her storybook and future stories will initiate dialog between adults and children about the need for responsible pet care of furry family members and other animals in general. Her dream is that in the future, this generation of kids will become the adults that make it unnecessary for rescue organizations to exist!
She also has committed to donating $1.00 per hardcopy book sold to the rescue organization responsible for saving each title character for the Merlin book as well as future books in the Rescued Animal Tails series.
