Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Allison Fetters
When four young mermaid friends, Rosa, Sula, Jasmine, and Melody, are assisting the water fairies with cleaning out their garden, they learn of the ancient tale of Aroona and Sir Topaz. Lost in the fantasy, three of the mermaids decide to set out to try and find the treasure chest of jewels that Aroona left behind. Jasmine does not believe in the legend so she plays a prank on her friends leading them to believe they are on the trail to making the discovery. When Jasmine's friends learn of the trick, they are upset and leave Jasmine behind. Soon, Jasmine finds herself in a situation that threatens her life for she is caught in a terrifying storm. When Rosa, Sula, and Melody learn of Jasmine's danger through two older mermaids, they rush to her rescue but not before Jasmine herself has located something that she believed was only a myth. This is a wonderful story of honesty, friendship, and believing in fairy tales. Reviewer: Allison Fetters

After a degree and 10 years working in Graphic Design, Tom Knight eventually realised that true happiness lies in drawing pictures in a shed at the bottom of the garden for a living. Brought up on a healthy diet of Tintin, The Beano and good country air, Tom finds his inspiration all over the place, constantly getting under his feet and making a mess. Tom lives on Mersea island with his splendid wife Tabby and their 2 boys, Archie and Seth.
