The hugely popular early chapter book series re-emerges with a new look! Brand-new eye-catching cover art brings a modern feel to this classic monster series for young readers.

Mr. Jenkins, the director at Camp Lone Wolf, has decided to hold a track meet. He's even brought an expert running coach to help the Bailey School kids prepare. The new coach is strangely inspirational -- when she sings, people feel like they can do anything. But when the kids notice the strange resemblance the coach bears to a mermaid, the fact that she refuses to get wet, and that she's planning to run off with Mr. Jenkins, they wonder if this coach is more than she appears to be. Can the kids solve this mystery before they lose Mr. Jenkins and Camp Lone Wolf forever?

I am a fan of the Bailey School Kids, but when I saw this book I was afraid it would be girly. I was wrong! Liza, Eddie, Howie, and Melody go to camp. The camp teacher there loves to run and she won't go near water. Is she a mermaid? But mermaids don't run track do they?

It's about these four kids that live in Bailey City, and strange things happen. In this book, they go to camp, and there is a new camp teacher. The camp teacher loves to run because she has legs. She never touches the water, or she will be a mermaid again. So these kids have an idea that when she runs near the pond, they would splash the water on her and then she would turn to a mermaid again.
