From the authors of Happy New Year, Everywhere! (2000) comes this Christmas craft book with a bit of a twist. It shows how Christmas is celebrated all over the globe and adapts some of these traditions for an American audience. In France, Yule logs are a traditional dessert, and an easy recipe using Twinkies is provided. Icelandic children decorate their homes with ¿Christmas pockets.¿ Youngsters will learn how to make these woven hearts and how to say Merry Christmas in Icelandic. Twenty countries, from Mexico to Serbia, are included for a general overview of the holiday. Eye-catching watercolor-and-ink pictures do a fine job of illustrating the material, and a map locates each country.     WONDERFUL EASY TO READ CHILDREN'S CRAFTS BOOK

    What a fun book to read and share with my students. I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy. While they do the crafts they learn a bit about the country, and we can expand our knowledge about that country on the computer.
