An absolutely wondrous Christmas album, Merry Christmas II You delivers nothing but joyous Christmas cuts! Mariah's voice is better than ever here, and the songs are all exceptionally great. A must buy for any Mariah fan or for anyone who loves Christmas music!

Having greatly enjoyed Ms. Carey's first Christmas album, and counting it among my favorites each Christmas season, I highly anticipated this new collection. Unfortunately, it disappoints on every level. Her voice itself sounds greatly compromised -- raspy -- and her abundant attempts at whisper-singing are strange and sound more injured than intimate. Parts of this album sound like an appropriate sound-track for a middle school holiday concert; generally the album struggles to find an appropriate tone. The "O Come All Ye Faithful/Hallelujiah Chorus" piece was one of the strangest and most contrived holiday music disasters I can remember. And the "All I Want For Christmas Is You -- Extra Festive" (yes, that's the real title) is a weak rehash of what was a joyful and delightful number from her first album. All in all, it's very disappointing indeed.

I enjoy this CD, But it doesn't top her first Christmas album. A nice addition to my Christmas collection.
