In praise of the JobBank series:

"One of the better publishers of employment almanacs is Adams Media ... publisher of the Metropolitan New York JobBank and similarly named directories of employers in Texas, Boston, Chicago, Northern and Southern California, and Washington CD. A good buy...."
- Wall Street Journal's National Business Employment Weekly

"JobBank books are all devoted to specific job markets. This is helpful if you are thinking about working in cities like San Antonio, Washington, Boston, or states such as Tennessee or the Carolinas. You can use them for research, and a particularly useful feature is the inclusion of the type of positions that are commonly offered at the companies listed."
- Karen Ronald, Library Director, Wilton Library, Wilton, CT

"A superior series of job-hunt directories."
- Cornell University Career Center's Where to Start

    Could be better

I purchased this book due to my interest in relocating the area. This book could be great if it included less generic contact information. I know recruiters can change, but it should include the email address of actual recruiters, in addition to the generic resume emailer. I guess I was just expecting it to provide insider knowledge. On the bright side, it did serve my purpose in providing a list of companies in the area, by industry.
