    Useful

I agree that spanish is spanish no matter where you are but i have visited both Spain and Mexico and the same things are said completely different even tho its all Spanish and means the same. I found this app very useful for the needful basics.

    Good Drill On Basic Phrases

This app is MUCH more basic than Skava's "Essential Spanish For Dummies"...that app has audio phrases, audio flashcards, and a dictionary with phonetic pronunciations.

Lonely Planet provides a drill on a small number of basic phrases that will make a trip more enjoyable..."hello"..."goodbye"..."where is a restroom?" The focus is providing a few essential phrases you can master with a few weeks of daily drilling. Or, you could play a phrase with your tablet to someone who can't understand your Spanish.

This app uses a Mexico City accent and vocabulary, the other Lonely Planet Spanish app uses a Madrid accent and vocabulary.

This app is designed for the Nook tablet. Go to "settings" on your Nook and boost media audio to 100%, then use your physical volume buttons to adjust volume. Headphones provide better clarity than the Nook's tiny speaker.

If the app does not open after installing, turn your Nook totally off by pressing the power button and tapping the OFF option. When you repower, the app should run smoothly.
