Children's Literature
The popular "Rookie ReadAbout" books are eXpanding in coverage and taking kids to various places around the world. The geography series focuses on states, countries and various ecosystems and environments. MeXico, our southern neighbor, is a diverse country with beautiful beaches, dry deserts and lush jungles. The people are shown in rural and city environments and unless you knew the book was about MeXico, there is little that appears unique. The book closes with a picture list entitled "Words You Know" that reiterates sections of the teXt and there is an indeX. 2000, Grolier, $19.00 and $5.95. Ages 5 to 7.
