All Music Guide - Rick Anderson
There's not much out there in the way of explicitly Christian punk rock, so when you see a picture of this band, with its prominent leather, post-Rotten hairdos and creative facial hair, and compare the image to the lyrics, which on this album revolve around the central idea of reaching heaven with a note to fans explaining why the word "hell" was used on one song, you might be excused for thinking that someone's finally done the unthinkable. But in fact, Delirious? isn't really a punk band at all. It's basically a pop group with occasionally extra-crunchy guitars. But in fact, Delirious? isn't really a punk band at all. It's basically a pop group with occasionally extra-crunchy guitars. Luckily, it's a mighty fine pop group; between Martin Smith's powerful and gutsy voice and the songs' indelible hooks, Delirious? ends up sounding at times like a more specifically ideological Crowded House as on "Follow" and the quietly lovely "It's OK", and at others like a more intelligent Duran Duran "Bliss". The dogma is front and center; Smith isn't afraid to sing a line like "If I'm right then you are wrong" and, if that offends you, ask yourself whether you get offended by Consolidated or Rage Against the Machine. At least this band admits the possibility that it could be wrong. And it does so with hooks.

    Generations Unite!

A group that teens and their parents can both listen to, appreciate and fall in love with while they remember the reason they fell in love with Christ in the first place. A sound to be appreciated by all, believers and non believers alike!

    Mezza-mania

Being a British Deliriou5? fan my copy is different, but is still undoubtly brilliant. Deliriou5? have turned themselves around from question asking people (first album King Of Fools, prime example from promise: 'Do I wipe the tear, or do I spit in your face?' also from King ot Kripple? (bit of a question the title!) the line 'What have I become?) Deliriou5? have turned themselves around to statement making Christian rockers (bliss: 'IIIIIIIIIII I'm not backing down.) This is what true great rock albums are made of. Using hard guitar riffs, or gentle plucked melodies, Deliriou5? always get the desired results. Which is the name of the game lads. Another cool thing about the album is that it has sparked a bit of contraversy with you Americans with the line 'She's as pretty as Hell' I think there's nothing wrong with this, it's just describing how nice a girl is, hey 'IT'S OK', lighten up, they're English, this is everyday speak. This album will truly make Deliriou5? if they can get any airplay in England. (They managed to get 'See The Star' to number 16 in our charts with no airplay, and the actual album upto 16 also, I think this signals a piece of brilliance!!!!!!!!!! The whole album itself is full of religious trimmings and musical brilliance, and it's brilliant no matter what version you have! (even if you did get an extra track which I haven't heard) But in general a top effort lads keep it up!
