This was a great book. I really recommend it to any Micheal Jackson fan who is really interested in his childhood life and/or career. I learned many things about Micheal Jackson that I didn't know before. For example, he was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29, 1958 and that he was one of 9 kids in the Jackson family. Gary Matthews did an amazing job telling about Micheal's childhood life, how he got famous, and how he coped with everything along the road to fame- from crazed girl fans to splitting apart from the Jackson 5 and becoming a solo artist. One disadvantage about this book is that it was written in the 1980's so it's not very up to date and it did not answer all of my questions I had on Micheal Jackson; such as what led him to being so hated after being adored 10 years before? I do hope to learn more about what happened later in Micheal Jackson's life, but this book really taught me a lot about Micheal Jackson's childhood and the difficulties and struggles he went through to pursue his ultimate dream. But through all the struggles, he did it, he became the King Of Pop.
