Michelangelo will always be one of the masters. The evidence is in the musculature of all of the men in this book. Manual labor is evident in order to have developed those muscles, but to be able to draw them at the time, wow. He had great insight into anatomy and his works in this book are proof. Although I had hoped there would be more information on each drawing, it gives you approximately when it was drawn, what media was used, the dimensions of the drawing, and where it can presently be found.

this is a collection of 46 figure drawings michelangelo did. michelangelo was a master painter and sculptor, he rendered figures more beautifully than any other artist ever has. most of the drawings in this book are studies he did for his paintings and sculptures. and he was a master draftsman. the book is in a workbook style binding so it takes up little space, but it is a hardy book. it is well worth the small price.
