This small, new bistro in the Latin Quarter was a pleasure to dine at from beginning to end. We wish we had discovered it before our last night in Paris.

It has only 7 or 8 tables, and there was no sign of another tourist when we were there. The lone waitress is pleasant and competent, and quickly brought a glass of wine for my wife and a glass of champagne for me. The kitchen is off the small bar at the back of the restaurant, and the chef, Christophe, can be seen in the doorway at times making sure everyone is happy. The decor is simple but attractive.

The food is superb. My wife had a langouste tempora that was very light, greaseless and tender, while I had a generous serving of escargots. The turbot served to my wife was perfectly cooked and served on an attractive bed of haricots vert while the duck breast with duck confit was tender, and flavorful. Dessert was a homemade mille feiulle with a special lemon filling.

The wine list is modest but workable, with good values to be found, and in fact the whole dinner was very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended.
