This is a story about the life of Mickey Mantle...a brief review of what he accomplished over the years for the Yankees. His dad was a true baseball fan, and named Mickey after the catcher Mickey Cochrane. His dad had him swinging with a bat at tennis balls since he could walk. He accomplished much more than the average baseball player and had many many injurys that took their toll on his career. He held in there through all those years ...through pain and injurys till his body told him it was time to retire.
