From The CriticsReviewer: Robert B. Fritz, PhD (Medical College of Wisconsin)
Description: This is an overview of medical microbiology and immunology.
Purpose: Its purpose is to provide review material for medical student and postgraduate student preparing for board examinations.
Audience: Medical and postgraduate medical students are the intended audience.
Features: This is an average or below average text.
Assessment: Based on careful reading of the immunology section, I would not recommend this book for the following reasons: poor organization, incorrect information, poor illustrations, and poor editing. This section is very poorly organized, and there are many instances of incorrect information. Rigorous editing is required to make this chapter useful. In several instances information is repeated almost verbatim from previous pages. In other instances totally unconnected ideas follow one another for no apparent reason and are likely to contribute to the confusion of the reader.
